Photographs that feel like the day felt
MW Photo Journal is an independent, editorially run journal about wedding, elopement and interior photography in Salt Lake City and across Utah. The approach it writes about is simple: find the best light, stay out of the way, and notice the small, unrepeatable things.
Whether it’s a mountain ceremony above Park City, a garden reception in the Salt Lake valley or a freshly finished home that deserves to be shown at its best, the goal is the same — clean, timeless images with real colour and real emotion that still look right in thirty years.
The editors

Good to know
Where is MW Photo Journal based?
The journal is edited from Salt Lake City, Utah, and covers weddings and interiors throughout the Wasatch Front, Park City, southern Utah and on destination assignments.
How far ahead should we book our wedding photographer?
Most couples book nine to fourteen months ahead. Peak Saturdays from May to October go first, so if you have a date in mind it is worth checking availability early.
What does your photography style look like?
Natural and light-led: true-to-life colour, soft contrast and a mix of candid storytelling with gently directed portraits. The aim is images that feel honest and still look right decades from now.
Do you photograph interiors as well as weddings?
Yes. Interior and architectural photography for designers, builders, architects and publications is a core part of the studio. See the interiors page for details.
